There is no sense to be found in these works ... They are digital forms that arise from a search for visual power and grace that comes from the past, without emulations or reverences, bringing that vision back to the present day through languages and sensibilities that belong to us . Conceived as paintings, created as sculptures, creating a stinging tension with the rationalist architecture of Manifattura Tabacchi, these works are only a possible beginning, which leaves the rest to each of us. Like an activator, which awakens from numbness, circulates blood in the veins but reveals nothing to us, they trigger emotions and as a consequence thought, but they do not direct it.
They are just forms, unable to express anything other than themselves, which sometimes change and show us something that we already know in our depths, in such a clear and lucid way that it appears to us as a revelation.
Sometimes in art we find truths, even when we weren’t looking for them.
